Recently Davey Chloromatic ECSC and MCS series of salt chlorinators had a change of warranty on their salt cells. It went from, 5 years pro-rata, to, 3 year full warranty for cells sold after August 2008.
This is a warranty based on their observations that the salt level in the pools with these chlorinators goes from the old 3200ppm to the new 5000ppm.
As a result it is suggested, if not already, have your pool water tested to bring your salt level up tot the desired new level.
