The pill should be placed in the skimmer basket just once a month. Once pierced, as per the instructions, and after being placed in the skimmer basket, it will empty its contents into the pool within 6 hours. Once the pill has emptied its contents it can be removed from the skimmer basket and simply disposed of with other household waste.
